For those on the fence about seeing this, IGN has the first 24 minutes of the film online for free. Check it out here:

And then tell me if it looks cool or not, because my comp won't play it for some reason.

A Scanner Darkly

Andy,
Looks like something you would like. The style is cool, and it is based on a Phillip K. Dick Story, so you know you are in for a wild ride. It is a bit too intense for me, I can't even watch the whole 24 minutes (I am a weenie). I have read a few of his stories, but for some reason I can read things that I cannot watch. Mike really wants to see this, maybe you could be his date. I could go a see something girly in the next theater.
Maybe your computer can get into this site. It is a cool companion site where you can manipulate different things.

vvvvvVVVVVVVRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR goes my computer at work as I fire up Lisa's site...
VVVWWWOOOooooooo............ goes the same computer upon me closing said site.

This piece of shit computer is driving me nuts with its inability to multitask...

But, I guess I should be doing work and bringing my laptop for any recreational browsing of sites and things...

A group of us recently went and caught this movie over at LeFont and I think it got a rating of: Pretty Decent. The plot is hard to follow in parts and you leave the theater with the feeling of "so... what just happened, exactly?" It's not as bad as I'd thought it would be, just one bit of violence, really, and a whole collection of boobies. I think the story is one most of you would find interesting and overall it was very visually interesting. So, yeah, I vote you go see it... but whether on the big screen or as a rental won't really matter.
